Christine Fawson - Trumpet, Vocals

Trumpeter Christine Fawson

Christine Fawson is a gifted vocalist and trumpet player who has performed at numerous jazz festivals and conventions all over the world, including the Darling Harbour Jazz Festival in Sydney, Australia, the Tri-City Jazz Festival in Cleveland and the International Association of Jazz Educators Convention in Long Beach, CA. She is currently a member of the jazz vocal quaret Syncopation and subs regularly in the big band Diva.

After attending Brigham Young University-Hawaii for two years where she was a featured trumpet and vocal soloist with the international touring jazz ensemble, she transfered to Berklee College of Music, acquiring her degree with a full-tuition scholarship.

In May 2000, Christine was selected to perform in the Disney Collegiate All Star band. Upon completing her studies at Berklee she recorded her first CD, Happy Talk featuring, among others, the talents of Phil Wilson and Charles Lewis. In the Fall of 2003, Christine joined the faculty of Berklee College of Music as Assistant Professor of Trumpet.
